I am 1 week new to this sight. and have started counting calories and working out and I have lost 11 lbs.I want to share my easy family recipes if anyone is interested in them...

    I've never been much of a cook, altho I try, at least my fam won't ever gain the weight on my account!!
    I'd love to try some of your "easy family recipes" EASY being the operative word here....:laugh: Thx!

  • Ok this recipe will take you 30 mint!

    11 oz shrimp raw peeled de-veined
    1/4 cup cilantro
    1 tsp garlic powder
    3 tsp chili power
    3 tsp cumin
    2 tbs Fiesta lime (ms dash)
    1 Red bell pepper
    1 Yellow bell pepper
    1/2 large red onion
    1/2 large tomato
    1/2 lemon juiced
    1/2 tbs olive oil
    4 cloves of garlic minced
    2 tsp worcestershire low sodium
    1/4 tsp salt (omit if you are watching your salt intake)
    6 Fajita size whole wheat LaBranderita tortillas


    Pre heat oven to 350 wrap tortillas in foil and let get warm.
    Cut all veggies into strips
    combined Shrimp, garlic, 1/2 of all the spices and 1/2 cilantro and let marinade for 20 to 30 min.
    Cook Veggies in 1/2 of the oil on med heat until desired crunch I did about 12 min. Set aside
    Heat pan to med high and add remaining oil and shrimp mixture cook until shrimp is cooked thru about 6 min.
    return veggies to pan and add remaining cilantro. heat thru


    makes 6 loaded fajites
    148 calories each
