    January 1st 2013 I decided to change my life and dump the extra pounds. I was so unhappy I couldnt stand it. With 3 kids (one is 6 months old), just finished my Masters degree, and a great career, I was putting myself last.
    I have now made it a priority to make time for myself and in less than 2 months I am down 40 lbs.

    OK, so I've seen threads such as this before, but still thought I'd start another. lol My good MFP friend Dawn posted her picture this morning, prompting me to a find a true "before" picture from 2010, around the time I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. My high weight, at the doctor's, for that period was 186 lbs. I lost almost 40 lbs that year, getting down to around 150 lbs. I then slacked off of diet and exercise the following summer, and, of course gained back some weight. These two photos just show the difference between my heaviest and now, which is the lightest I've been in a ridiculous number of years. I weigh around 137 lbs now, so this is a difference of between 45-50 lbs, as I'm not sure exactly what I weighed in the first photo.
