Hello MFP family. I'm on my way to lose weight again. I started at 172 pounds and am now at 166.4 pounds. At 5'2" that is way to much weight. I hope to be at 160 pounds by June 6th. I know 6.4 pounds in 9 days is a lot to hope for but I will be working my but off. My goal weight is 130 - 135 pounds by September 1st; that's about 10 pounds a month. I have mainly been doing strength training, but hope to incorporate more cardio soon. If anyone is in the Memphis area and need a work out buddy message me.

Good luck mocha! I have been on here only about two weeks and I have never felt so supported in a weight loss and fitness journey.

I'm in Ohio, but I hope you find a fitness buddy. They are a great help, especially in the beginning. I will say appreciate the small victories because they add up. I know you will go great!!

Nice to meet you! I am Jill. I am in NC, but we canbe each other's on line support. I am opposite I am really good with cardio, but not strength training. Its not working out that gets me. It is the southern fried food girl. I was brought up eating everything fried! I ha ve been changing that slowly though. I am at about 150 now, and I am 5 3. My goal is about 130-135 as well. My husband helps a lot and offers great advice if you ever need it. He is a master fitness trainer and a drill sgt in the Army. Nice to meet you and I hope we chat soon!

Great to meet you Jill. I'm a southern girl too so I know you dilemma. I would love to be your online support. As a counselor I understand how important a support network is. I have been doing well with my food options. It's hot here in Memphis so I have been enjoying my homemade protein, fruit shakes, YUMMY!! I probably have one or two a day to keep my carbs down and my proteins up. Plus they are quick and easy to make and drink when my work schedule is hectic.

I love to cook and bake so my thing is to keep myself from baking cookies, cakes, and pies and thwarting my hardwork. I've incorporated grilling and stir frying veggies and lean meats and a way to keep healthy. I look forward to getting to know you.

    Badbrianne,

Thanks for adding me as a friend and I would love to be your distance fitness buddy. Also thanks for your encouragement. Sounds like you have been doing great. I hope I can't do as well also.

Welcome to MFP. This program works if you can stay with it. I started in December and first month lost almost half my goal. Unfortunately, I slipped. I hope you reach your goals and good luck on here.!!
