aching arches

This is the third time I've experienced this after an exercise this past week. First time I was doing a dance workout, waited a few days to recover and tried Yoga. Same thing happened again! and then today after recovering a day I was doing lunges and squats and it happened again! I just don't understand it, I stretch my feet and ankles before every workout (I also work out barefoot for better traction.) but 3 times now almost immediately after the workout I can barely walk from the pain in my arches. What am I doing wrong? How can I prevent this from happening again? Also, any ideas on how to relax these sore muscles so it is easier to get around?

I'll assume that you're wearing properly fitting shoes that are based on a specialty running/walking store's trained analysis of your gait and movements. If not, go do that. Spend the money for properly fitting shoes, and experience the wonder that is pain-free movement
If you've done that, it sounds like it might be plantar fascitis.
This site has good information: http://www.runnersedgemt.com/2012/running-related-foot-pain-plantar-fasciitis/
And these sites have good strengthening exercises to help:

I get foot pain all the time. Is it just when you do these exercises? Someone on here mentioned that there could be an issue with pelvic alignment, and I thought this could explain a lot. Also high arches are notorious for foot pain. Not much much help for ya, but I can feel your pain.0

Well, I wasn't wearing any shoes during my exercises, as I've been just doing them at home in my living room. I think I'll try that from now on. I'll check out the sites you suggested as well.
Thanks a bunch!0 -
I get the same thing. I over pronate and I have small arches. It's mostly my right foot. I also get cramps into the toes and some ankle pain. I need orthotics and I wear a brace during yoga. I usually bike for cardio so there's not a lot of impact on my feet. Best of luck.0
