Have you ever helped a stranger out? Tell me about it.

I gave a homeless man who had a dog a bag of dog food. I'm a sucker for animals.

And, we all know this AWESOME sauce girl, named Allie. Well yea, her little boy is trying to change the world. We all need a little bit of HIS will power. So while your on here, go ahead and go visit this AWESOME site, and maybe cast a few votes.

I recently hurt my wrist at the gym so I've been doing 'the stranger."

On a more serious note, I have given them food before and I donate to charitable causes.

Was going through a divorce. Wife just left me and I was in a 2 bedroom Apartment. I was at work and overheard a fellow I didn't know that he had just been given 24 hours to vacate his apartment, because it had been illegally sublet to him. Didn't know him, but I turned around and told him I had a spare bedroom he could use until he found a place to stay. That was 1983. He moved out in 1986.

I just got an email from him through LinkedIn 27 years later. He thanked me and told me he had been trying to locate me to tell me how that changed his life back then.

I've been the homeless/distraught person that people have helped. I remember every single one of them, even as I never knew most of their names. I rarely have the money or the spare energy to volunteer, but when I do, I leap on the chance. It's good to be reminded of the good nature of human beings.
