Eating back burned calories- Different type of ?

OK i have seen many eating back your calories threads but i didnt see one of mine.. or i just havent looked right :)

so say i eat 1500 calories and reach my limit on carbs sugar..... then i workout and i burn 800 calories.... does it matter what i eat(obviously good stuff) and not worry about the carbs and sugar?

there were times that i reached my daily limit on the carbs and sugar, i would burn the calories of up to 900 calories but almost didnt want to eat because of my limits being reached already.

what say you?

Your limits will increase with your calorie increase. If you are set at 40% carbs and burn 900 cal, 360 cals (90 grams) of carbs will be added to your day.

I would focus on getting up to your protein goal, because that's the thing people tend to mostly fall short on... but if you end up a bit over in carbs/sugar, I wouldn't worry too much unless you have a medical reason to be concerned about.

Generally I find that if I focus on getting enough protein, the carbs/fat tend to fall into reasonable ranges without too much worry. Good luck!

Yes it will, as they are a % of daily calories.

i.e if your carbs are set at 50%, and you earn 200 calories, your carbs will increase by 100

looking at it logically - If the carbs/fats/protein doesn't increase, where can the extra calories come from?

EDIT - I have looked at your diary. L:ook at the 22nd Feb. Usually your carb goal is 126. That day you added exercise calories, , and your carb goal increased to 189.

I would check again if I were you. Take a look at the carb/protein/fat numbers at the beginning of the day. Then arbitrarily add a 500 calorie workout. Now look at the carb/protein/fat numbers again. You'll see that the grams have changed.

And if they aren't changing, something must be wrong with the way your account is set up. MFP is set to use percentages of macros to bring you to your daily calorie goal. So number of calories can fluctuate, and since the macros are based on percentages, they will adjust right along with the calories.

Have you looked at the 22nd of Feb, on your phone app to see the differeing goals?

It's on Home, then Daily, then when you get the 3 pictures on the right just under the date, you chose the middle one.

This gives yuo actual figures, whereas the pie chart will show you the %
