    Hey girls. I'm still around here. Just barely surviving. I have been really lacking will power. I don't know why. But I'm really hoping this week I will do better!

    Left it to my own devices this week and gained 8lbs. :embarassed: I know what it was. Monday was a holiday for us and I had a lot of alcohol (I never usually do have alcohol). Missed the gym all week and didn't do my C25K this week either. NOT GOOD! :mad:

    So moving forward, going to try and go to the gym first thing in the morning at 6am everyday this week. If it rains, I have a back up date with resistance bands and workout video. Time to put me first.

    :frown: If you only hope that you will do well your heart isn't in it. You need to WANT this for yourself. You need to KNOW that you are going to do better this week. Make that commitment to yourself. You are worth it.

    I hope you aren't freaking out about this. If your food diary is honest, there is no possible way that you put on 8 lbs of fat in a week. There were only two days that you didn't log food. Unless you actually ate 28,000 calories in those two days this weight is something else. Are you eating too much sodium? TOM soon?

    I am going to do my weigh in tonight. I didn't count calories after Thursday but I think I stayed on track. So hopefully I either lost or stayed the same as what I started last week with.

    Take a look at last week's thread. I gain 2.5 pounds in two days and saw that my sodium was super high for six days in a row. The next day I drank 16 cups of water to flush it out. The next morning I was down 3.3 lbs.

    I've been on depo for a few years so I don't get a period, but I see the message boards full of horror stories of women retaining 5+ lbs of water during their TOM.

    For both of these issues drinking A TON of water helps the body flush out the excess water you are retaining. I'm sure you'll drop the majority of that weight this week.

    You are so RIGHT! I looked at my sodium intake and it was off the charts. Thank you so much for that advise. I will keep an eye out on it now.

    Sucking at this challenge. Since my "working out" lately has been zero you would think that getting in 30 min a day would be no problem...

    In my defense I have been spending a lot more time cleaning instead of working out so at least I'm not just sitting on the couch all the time. I also had a medical issue that I saw the doctor for today that I used as an excuse not to work out yesterday. Hoping to feel much better soon.

    I have days like that too, I'm sure we all do. :ohwell:

    I'm a tough love kinda girl and usually will remind myself pretty quickly that feeling sorry for myself isn't going to help. So I figure out what I can do to improve my situation.

    If you wanted to vent some of this issues you're having I'm sure some of us have been though the same thing and could offer some advice.
