Chocolate peanut butter spread
This is something I came up with because I've been wanting Nutella for so long but refuse to eat it anymore because of all the added sugars and people say it's healthy but it isn't. the first ingredient on the list is SUGAR. Yeah, very healthy way to start your day is ADDED sugars....But it's ok because of the cacao and Hazelnuts, right? SMH.
Anyways, I decided to make something similar but with natural peanut butter which has no sodium in it or added sugars. The only sugar it has is one tiny gram that comes naturally...no big deal.
Steps:
1. Add cacao to small bowl
2. Add natural peanut butter to cacao
3. Add sweetener (Add honey, too if desired)
4. Slowly add water and mix till it becomes a thick spread
Add more cacao if too runny. You could also add it to oatmeal as a topping or use it as a topping for oatmeal bars or fruit.
Yes, I took these pictures. Light Rye bread with some banana. Mmmmm

Thanks for posting this. I bought all natural peanut butter, and I have no idea how to use it or any good recipes. This looks awesome and my kids would love it and great alternative to nutella.0

Personally, I love it. but if you prefer Hazelnuts to peanuts than you'd be better off trying to make healthier Hazelnut spread. But it is yummy.0 -
Looks delish...thanks for posting those pics (hate when there is a recipe and no photos to go along with it).0

I'm glad people like it It is good. And you can make it as sweet as you want to by adding more sweetener or honey to it. It will come out shiny with the honey, making it look like icing. lol
I have another dead easy combination that I'll post the next time i'm able to make it. Also good for dipping fruit in or topping oatmeal with it. Good for some added protein, too.0 -
Thanks! Looks good0

Just curious, have you tried making this in advance. I have three teenagers at home and if I could make this in advance, it would be better than me buying nutella. Please better for them. I don't think it would be an issue but just curious to know if you have tried.0
