Hotel Frustrations

I've been in Long Island for the past few days, staying in a hotel and taking advantage of their gym. For some reason I have not been feeling my best while working out here, and I have found myself unhappily forcing myself to finish my workouts. I'm not sure why I am feeling this way, especially since I am doing a typical elliptical workout and abs. I have also been staying under my calorie goal, which I consider a great accomplishment. How can I continue working out without feeling negatively about myself? I am here another 3 days, and I plan on continuing to work out, but I would really like to stay positive about working out here instead of feeling like I am burdening myself. I don't want to sabotage myself, and I definitely don't want to go over my calorie goal. Has anyone felt "out of their element" while working out somehwere else? If so, how did you get out of your funk?

That’s the million dollar question! Me I have to focus on my personal goal, that’s ultimately driving you to eat right and work out. Stays focused and jump on here for more novation!
Do you think it could be an energy thing- maybe not eating the right foods or enough of the right foods?
Vitamin deficiency perhaps?0 -
Oh man. I had the same problem last week. I have been doing so well with my weight loss and have lost 25lb this year so far....last week I had to be away from Sunday to Saturday and I was a mess. I had a few business dinners to go to as well but I thought I did pretty well with working out and eating the best I could. I got home and had gained 2lb...wtf? We have a super nice elliptical at home that I love using and have great burns on....I walked on the treadmill there and did weights but no such luck...
I think next time I will have to say NO to room service (even the healthy choices) and maybe even do a quick morning workout and another one in the evening....it sounds crazy but I need to make progress....
Good luck...will watch this thread0 -
Right now I'm taking a class thats about 7 hours a day. It's stressful and I come home exhausted cause my brain is fried, but I still want to work out so I drag myself down to their gym. I'm going to bed early tonight to see how I feel. If I am too tired tomorrow perhaps I should take a break. I really appreciate your responses and will definitely keep you posted on what goes on during the rest of the week!0
