On MFP since July, still haven't lost weight??

I've been on MFP since the Summer of last year, and my weight hasn't gone done, and has just been changing between 112-114!
My info, and some more things are below
- Weight = 113lbs
- Height = 5'2
- Goal Weight = 95lbs
- 1200 cal per day
- Sedentary.
( If you need any more info, just ask. )
I am able to excercise 3 times a week, for an hour or two on the days, ( I refuse to jog in public though, due to issues listed below )
My family tends to buy alot of sweets/processed foods/etc., and, most of the time, refuses to buy healthy choices, like vegetables, because according to them, they " cost too much. " ( 4 dollars for a bag of grapes is expensive? )
I suffer from horrible social anxiety, due to how I hate how I look, and so, I'd love it if anyone can help with excercise, and some cheap, but healthy choices. If you could even list some diets, that'd be even better!
ALSO, I'd rather not have any comments on my goal weight, so, please, keep them to yourself, thanks!

You are going to get comments because even if you have a small frame you are already in the lower range of healthy. You are not losing weight because your body doesn't need to, even if your mind thinks differently.

Since you exercise three times a week, it could be that your calorie count is too low for your body to feel like it can shed anything, make sure to calculate your bmr correctly. Just type in bmr calculator into google and you should find one easily. Low calories doesn't necessarily mean that you'll lose weight.
If you want to be smaller, than what you are currently, I would suggest strength training rather than cardio. You will lose inches and maybe pounds, and will look much smaller if you do incorporate strength training into your regime.
Protein, I think, is the most important part of a diet, followed by veggies, even if they're frozen. They tend to be a dollar or two a bag for veggies. I'm in college, and I remember all too well the torment of feeling as though you look inferior to those around you, but honestly, if you want to be healthier, you have to do this for yourself, not them.
Fake confidence and it will come, though I know how hard that is sometimes.

The fact that you wrote this tells everyone YOU KNOW that your goal weight is not a healthy one. Please seek help for your social anxiety and body image problems. You are so very young, make yourself strong and healthy inside and out.0 -
If you know your goal weight is unhealthy or too low, why bother asking. You are extremely healthy already. Don't try to lose more weight and become unhealthy. Remember, being too skinny is just as bad or worse as being too fat.0

I mean, 5'2" and 95 lbs IS low, but depending on body type, amount of muscle mass, and considering that she is 18, it might not be all that low if she is still growing. Remember, those weight charts are created from BMI, so they definitely are not a "one size fits all". They are good for most people, but depending on a lot of factors, including ethnicity, they might not apply to her.

all I can say is that before you continue, make sure that you are trying to achieve a healthy and reasonable goal. It sounds like your body is telling you that maybe going lower than you already are is not a great idea. Go see a doctor if you need help with that. If 95 lbs is OK for you, then you obviously you need to make a change.
However, I would probably suggest the opposite of what you are probably thinking. I am guessing that you still feel like you look fat, even though you don't weigh much. This is typically because your lean body mass, or muscle mass, is too low. I would suggest that you try eating your maintenance calories for a few months and focus on building more muscle. Don't worry about the number on the scale, because if you are building muscle, the number will increase some, but your measurements and physique will improve the way you want them too.
If you are going for a fit, beach body look, building some muscle will be the route you want to take more than losing more weight.0 -
Also, to the OP, based on your stats, your BMR is 1347 and your maintenance calories are 1616/day. I would recommend eating 1616/day for a few months, try to get at least 100g of protein per day, quit or significantly reduce cardio exercise, and start lifting weights.
You will be amazed at the results.0 -

As, GauchoMark said, most of you were kinda hash on me, even though, you don't even know what my body shape is!
I will be eating a bit more, and, lookng into strength training, and will also try to find some cheap vitamins, as, I have problems even getting to the protein I need to eat now, and, the health benefits in the end will be great, too!
Another thing. My goal isn't unhealthy. It all depends on the person, and, next time, don't judge before you don't know all the facts! ( Which, are below. )
But, to put it simple, I want to lose the fat, and get a toned, lean body. Not bones sticking out all over the place. ( Which, some people can't control, since, they could just be born thin, or, have a sickness or digestion issue. )
( Just to let all of you know. I eat my excercise calories, and go horribly over my sugar limit. I only under-eat when I don't feel hungry, which, I'm sure, happens to anyone. I want thin legs, arms, and a flat stomach, is that so bad? It was MFP who told me to eat the calories listed, not my own personal opinion, and, like said before, I am upping them.)0 -

Do you have bountiful baskets in your area? Google it. They offer a HUGE basket of assorted fruits and veggies for $15. It's a co-op and you order on Monday or Tuesday and then go pick up your basket every Saturday or Sunday.
There is also another program, can't remember the name off hand, but they sell off the fruits and veggies that the markets don't sell - here it's like 60lbs for $10 or something. Google to find programs in your area.
You can sometimes find meat for buy 1 get one deals. Some stores have managers specials to sell off meat that must be used or frozen on the day you go. Search weekly ads online of your family's favorite stores and make a list of cheaper/on sale healthy items. Also, download their apps and add their coupons to your card. Make it a game to make the cheapest but healthiest meal for the week. Things like pasta and rice are cheap and will stretch your meat and veggies further. Soups and stews also.
I also feel for you because of your anxiety and body issues. Please join your public library and look for books that can help you begin to heal. It's free, and awesome! Use their online searches to find one or two that help you. I urge you to take that first step.0 -

You are going to have to find the strength within you to go down a different path than your family and get better foods. If this means you have to get a job to buy the food that will help you, you are going to have to do it, if you want to reach your goals.
My family somehow always manages to bring chips, cookies, and other crap into the house. i have resorted to just throwing this junk in the garbage, and only rarely does someone ask about it. If I don't throw it out, and i get home hungry, and there's no food, I start eating whatever is in the house, which is no good.
You have to get your diet straight.
I was uncomfortable when I first started going to the gym because i was embarrased of how fat I was...so I went at 3:30AM. After I overcame my anxiety, I went in the evening, and I hated it, because it was so crowded...so I'm back to 3:30AM because it works for me, not because I'm embarrased. I also like getting the workout done early...it makes me feel like I've accomplished something, and then I can relax or do whatever in the evening.
Good luck...take a hard look at your goals, you already know what you have to do, you just have to do it.0 -

The average age for girls is 14 1/2, but most girls are done growing before they reach 18. Boys, on the other hand, will often spend a few more years after 18, mostly growing muscle rather than height, but sometimes both. Certainly medical conditions, nutrition, the age you reach puberty, and other factors can cause someone to be "an early bloomer" or a "late bloomer," but it's uncommon. (I see from your profile that you are much taller than average. That could also be a reason that you continued to grow another inch so late in your teen years. The OP is shorter than average. So I'd bet a dime to a dollar that she's not getting any taller, and even if she grew one more inch, that wouldn't significantly impact her weight or calorie goal.)
Also, growing a single inch between 18 and 19 is not actually relevant to my point. FTR, I quit growing at the age of 12, and I'm a full three inches taller than my mom. (I'm also taller than most of the women in my extended family.)
The point is that the OP is already at a healthy weight and would do well to eat maintenance calories and focus on fitness and body recomposition instead of scale weight.0
