Starbucks Calories

Lately I've been taking a trip to the local Starbucks after lunch and getting a Venti Iced Green Tea--Unsweetened. I figured the calorie count was that of brewed tea-essentially zero. I hadn't really ever put this in my log, and when I was drinking it the most (last week) I wasn't all that diligent with tracking anyway. Point? I just came back with my delicious drink and it seems it has 60-130 calories! Why would this be? On the starbucks.com site, it only describes it as slightly sweetened (at 130cal). On MFP, unsweetened is listed as 60 cals. How does a zero calorie tea gain 60 calories (or 130) when you add ice?

Does it have lemon in it? That would add calories. I would just go with the Starbucks website or own calculation.0

They must sweeten it in some way to be 130calories, I dunno how if you ask for it unsweetened?0

I think of Starb's as a treat....if I do a good workout, I have a decaf venti non fat latte and it's like 200 cals, but full of calcium and protein.0

There is no way that adding ice can add that many calories. Most likely, someone entered the information wrong in the database. I always go by outside sources if MFP is wrong, and many times I have had to correct entries made by other people.0

Tazo® China Green Tips Brewed Tea
A light and lingering green tea with a fine, fresh flavor.
Tazo® Zen™ Brewed Tea
A harmonious blend of green tea with lemongrass and spearmint.
Are these similar to what you're getting because they have zero calories on the Starbucks website.0 -
On the starbucks website, there is a specific listing for iced green tea. The description says slightly sweetened. I guess I don't know if by ordering it unsweetened, I get just the brewed with ice added? I suppose I can always email starbucks and ask. And I usually don't have a starbucks habit, but I have a gift card I'm using and figured iced tea was the best way to use it. Once that was gone, I would make my own iced tea.0

All iced tea is brewed tea with added ice. If you aren't getting it sweetened then they just brew it and add ice.0
