hi, I am looking for people with similar background and similar values who understand the culture, possibly the food that is popular in said cultures and maybe even support each other due to dietary restrictions.


As a side note: Before this thread gets locked for being divisive, I would like to ask the mods to please explain why THIS is a divisive topic but looking for friends based on age group isn't. Or how looking for friends based on the weight isn't. Or fitness level. Or the choice of diet. Or the choice of sports. Or the choice of whatever.

I just wanted to let you know as this happened to me on requesting post for christian friends. my post got deleted on my request. they don't allow you to ask for friends of your faith in anything other than a private group. I hope you have tons of friends. just thought you might want a heads up.

    Hey! I'm not Muslim, but my husband is Egyptian Coptic and I cook all the yummy Middle Eastern foods and eat lots of Halal when we can.
