anyone never EVER satisfied with the way they look?
I look at my self in the mirror and i honestly think I dont even work out. Yeah people say i look good, but every time i look in the mirror, I see that i look good, but not good enough, I feel like i look normal.
I honestly work out 3 times a day every day 7 days a week(smart work out) and i cheat on my diet once a month, n when i do, i dont even get pleasure out of it. I dont know why but obviously i would not mind doing the whole 'lance arm strong tour de france' like he did, but i feel once i do it, will i still think the way i think today about me just looking like a regular guy that doesn't look like he works out, or will i finally be satisfied?
i know dear diary.

On a serious note, I think there are plenty of people that will always be critical of their own appearance.0 -
nah dont need compliments, i get them in real life already, im talking about never being satisfied with a goal you finally achieve.0

I don't think anyone is ever 100% satisfied with their progress.0

Hmm, well, right now I'm never satisfied with my body or how I look. But I had one night a year ago before I gained more weight were I fit into this sexy dress, I was satisfied then.
I think satisfaction comes and goes.0 -
In all seriousness, I don't think anyone is ever satisfied, but they can be happy with how they generally look. I was pretty happy with how I looked in general, but would sometimes obsess about my thighs, or my teeth, or heaven knows whatever else was making me feel insecure at the time.
If you think you look like crud all the time, then you have a problem with your self image I think.0 -
No matter how good you look there's always room for improvement.0
-
I think once you become satisfied, you become complacent, which I why I'm never happy with the way I look.0
-
Is there a reason you're training SO often? Over training could be hurting more than helping.
I don't really think anyone is totally satisfied with their progress. There is always something to improve on.0 -
I think if you aren't satisfied, you should readjust your goals. Perhaps recognize when you have unrealistic expectations of yourself, and try to figure out what the motivation for pushing yourself is and where this lofty criteria comes from. Is it actually because you haven't hit your goals or are you using it to punish yourself for something else?
Just food for thought.0 -
Are you actually Female? That's what your profile says......your picture looks a little more male. You look good, don't get me wrong. I'm just easily confused.
If you want to be male - - go here

It depends on the comparison I am making! e.g. As to compared when I was a 21 year old hottie or to a 58 year old overweight grandma. For today - YEP!0

I would say, be grateful and appreciate all of this!
Yeah, like someone said above.....I am satisfied, but not complacent. True.:)0 -

i dont believe in overtraining, only under eating and under resting. For me its a habit, i have to do hand stand push ups every 3 hours of the day, then pull ups when ever i pass by the gym at my job, it keeps me sane.0 -
IMO, there is always room for improvement.. the second you stop working, the second you fall backward. there is always something i could improve0
-
^^I agree. I hope I get to a point that I am satisfied but I'm doubtful.0
-
I consider myself a constant work in progress...i am not easily satisfied.0

my motivation is to never stop, bc exactly what you said, i dont want to fall behind and im not a quitter. i always think if im workout out hard, some one is working out harder, ofcourse i got some friends on the juice that look 10x better then me and dont have to put much work into it, yet i am stronger then most of them bc im consistent.0 -

yeah. i dont see anything wrong with that. lazy people call it "obsessed"... I call it dedication
I stole that from something I saw online, but I totally believe it..0 -

If you can get to 99.5%, the rest is rounding error.0

When I got fat I told someone, "now I actually look the way I have always felt - FAT." I weighed 100lb less than I do right now, but I still thought I was fat. I think some people will never be happy with what they look like. I think it is definitely a mental thing. :frown:0

No, I am always looking for something else to fix. It is a bad habit I am trying to fix.0
-
I get more and less satisfied, but doubt i will ever be fully satisfied.0
-
I guess I am the only perfect person here then.0
-
Not really. Even tho it's common for a girl.. but i used to think i was fat, then i gained weight & realized how skinny i was (SIZE 1, sometimes 3!) Even though i'm only size 5, i want to lose some weight and get toned.0
