I have over 15 pairs of running shorts, several running pants, 5 pairs of running shoes THAT I WEAR, and dozens of running tanks/shirts/hoodies.

I bought most of it 2+ years ago when I started racing again. It has been the best investment ever because I wear them everyday. UA and Nike outlet stores are VERY dangerous for me :)

    ENJOY!

$9 legging & my $5 workout top, $40 pair of Rivers barefoot runners......

    Nah.... for me that's enough.

I admire this very very much :) I wish I had the self control for the minimalism.

If I could afford it I would buy way more! I get all my professional clothing from GW Boutique (aka. Goodwill) but they don't have much in the way of workout gear. I really love the moisture-wicking sports bras that come in 2-packs at Walmart honestly. I work out at home anyway so I have no one to look cute for but myself! :P I will spend good money on quality athletic shoes though.

This I understand. If I worked out at home I would probably do it naked  Ok maybe wearing underwear..
I go to a new and hip gym so it's nice to look like a superstar while working out haha. Why not look good while sweating right?
Jewelry and make-up are also a must lol

I turned up to a run in some cargo style shorts and a threadless t-shirt.
A running-club friend of a friend says "you're running in THAT?" with some seriousness.

As it turned out, don't think my clothing was the limiting factor, really.

(To be fair, do fancy some science-cloths, but way down the list to spend my money on.)

I enjoyed buying a bunch of new stuff... but at Kohls and Target. Not yet able to spend lululemon or similar. But I just got a new Athleta catalog (how'd they know?!) and I was sure tempted.

Oh gosh LOL...if I wear makeup during my workout I break out SO bad. I have to wash my face before and after. Actually the other day I went to work out and had forgotten to buy an external DVD-rom, so I made a quick run to Walmart...forgetting that I had my bun on the top of my head and acne cream on my face! OMG, embarrassing when I got back in the car and realized why the cashier was staring at me like that.

Usually I just wear shorts or leggings and a sports bra to work out. Then I can check myself out in the mirror.

My lovely bride, Rackie515 here on MFP, and myself must have purchased 1000 dollars worth of workout clothing over the past 2 months in ****'s.

I have bought all Under Armor clothes. Socks, shorts, shirts, compression underwear, new sneakers, everything.

I feel like a walking advertisement for UA. LMAO

Wifey has bought even more. LOL. She doesn't care what brand she buys, as long as she likes the colors, she buys it.

Anyone else addicted to workout clothing?

I love to buy workout clothes (: it's a minor addiction

Uhh no. I still use the mesh basketball shorts I bought on clearnace at Wal-Mart for $5 each....4 years ago. They still don't show any signs of wear. The rest of my workout stuff I bought at Goodwill, got from a hand me down, and bought with gift cards from Fathers Day, Xmas, or Birthday. I'm cheap like that.

Now....outdoor gear and bicycle parts are a different story.

I go through phases. I bought a lot of stuff at the beginning of the year when Old Navy had a sale on activewear. I really like their compression gear. But I have my own gym at home, so as long as I have enough clothing to get me through the week without having to do laundry, I don't feel the need to continually buy new stuff.

I do agree that looking good in my workout clothes motivates me to work out more, so when I see something new in the store and I try it out and it looks good and makes me feel good, I will buy it in every color.
  • I teach phys education so I wear it all the time for work. Absolutely awesome

I am a huge fan of Old Navy's active line!

anyone else start singing the old navy add for this line?

"no jigglin' , while your wigglin'.........."
"keeps you confined, while you move your behind!"

    lol

I love workout clothes! I bought a new tank yesterday (from Old Navy - so much cuter than I was expecting!) and I haven't bought anything in probably a year. I have plenty of workout clothes but always feel like i could use something new!

I work at home so no dress code.
I get out of my sweaty gym clothes, shower, get in to the next set of gym clothes.

Lots of UA, Nike and New Balance. I try to mix them up so I don't look like an overweight fitness model.

I am so very lucky...nike give me as much running gear I need with the caveat that I wear only their own brand..and their stuff is so awesome, if I was paying, i wouldn't wear any other brand. They are presenting me with free running shoes for my upcoming marathon and have been incredibly supportive of me from my very first steps of c25k to now..in the thick of training for my first marathon. their cold weather running gear is the best bar NONE.

LOL I walk around with a Athleta book and circle the items I want. One day I will be able to afford them. Any gifts my kids give me are to UA or Sports Authority. My oldest just brought me my jacket from Spyder which I have looked at for over two years....LOL....Yes I'm addicted.

I feel like it's all I spend my wages on! I suppose when you spend a lot of your time being active you may as well invest the money in it ^_^. My latest purchases are SPD shoes and cleats for my spinning classes, and I'm betting I will probably spend more money this weekend.

I'm so obnoxious. I wear compression shirts as regular shirts a lot, LOL.

Hey, I actually look half decent in them now, I like to flaunt what I got.

Hahahaha yes!!! I always seem to find a reason why I need the workout gear....and every reason is valid!!!!
I need bright neon pink compression pants so people can see me when I workout in the dark on early mornings, or I need a new runners scarf so I can run in 20 degree weather. LOL!

I've signed up to UA's outlet emails so I can see all of their sales.
