Trying again to loose the pounds that seem to want to linger. i am 4ft 11 and weight 10 stone and want to lose about a stone. For me it is difficult to excercise as I have back problems so anything too strenuous aggravates my leg which then leaves me with mobility problems. Does anyone have any realistic ways in which I can lose the stubborn pounds which are sitting firmly around my waist?

Hi! I`m starting up again with the tracking on myfitnesspal too after many months of giving up on the weight loss battle. I figure, although I have no injuries, my university program`s schedule is far too hectic paired with being a mother right now for me to consistently exercise. Maybe you could just start by a walk every day on a trail that has some hills, it`s really amazing how a daily activity such as that can make a difference in your body`s capability to respond to physical stress. And even without strenuous exercise, I`ve learned in my program that reducing sedentary behaviors yield massive benefits for cardiovascular health. Starting slow and maintaining good habits is my plan, I hope you can identify something that works for you as well!0

Hi, It's amazing how we don't realize how much we use our back until we have problems with it!! You may have already tried this but, if not, I would definitely look into some gentle yoga. I have a Yoga program on my Wii Fit and it really does wonders. It's all fairly slow, gentle stretching and doesn't require strenuous movement. There are also several Yoga DVD's out there and they offer it in many health and fitness clubs. It's still getting you moving plus it's focus is strengthening your core (including your back) in a low-impact way, so even though it's very relaxing and calming, you're still burning calories. The Yoga program on my Wii Fit burns about 100 calories in a 30 minute session. Good luck to you!0
