Does anyone know what the best tools are to work this out I went on a web site yesterday which said I was 40% fat!!!! I quick adjusted everything I was doing but then I downloaded an app on my i phone and that worked it out at 27% I understand this is still too much but its a huge difference. I am quite muscley (I know not a word lol) but carry most weight around my middle after 2 kids which is shrinking due to diet and exercise but I am thinking of moveing to the next step now ie building muscle.

Hi there is a difference between body fat percentage as in what is lean muscle and what is fat determined by your measurements, weight, height ,age and gender whereas BMI is calculated by only weight and height. My BMI is 27 which is overweight still, 21 - 25 is what i need to aim for and my body fat is 37 % and that is at the top limit for healthy on the chart i have from my trainer for my age.0
