Stability ball

I have been searching the exercise database for stability ball exercises or, more specifically, just sitting on a stability ball rather than a chair at work for several hours at a time. Does anyone know where to find that or for any exercise physiologists out there, can you create entries for varied weights and durations, please?

Thank you so much,
Richard (down 25 lbs. in six months; 5'10" /191 lbs. & feel great)

Depending on what you're doing on the ball, you could probably log it as calisthenics, light. Btw, great job on your weight loss!

Wait, am I reading this correctly? You want to log sitting? Are you trolling me?

If you're sitting on it, you're not burning anymore significant calories than sitting in a regular chair. As for exercises, just log in the actual exercise you're doing. Intensity of a bench press on a stability ball with about 40lbs (total dumbell weight) is about equal to a stable dumbell bench press of 60lbs.

What size is the stability ball?

    There's a formula
BW * (height in cm) / (stability ball diameter) / π * (# minutes sitting down)

Just enjoy the added benefits. The additional calorie burn isn't enough to affect your calorie goals significantly.

If you do actual work on the ball, that's log-worthy, but not just sitting on it. http://www.ball-exercises.com/

In out office, people with spine problems or slipped disks sit on these balls. But I really doubt it burns anything if you just sit on it.

I would like to know this as well.

Also, can someone help me figure out how to log my calories when im at sea level versus when I am at high altitude? Thanks in advance.

I think the OP wants ideas for exercises that can be performed on the stability ball - not how many calories are burned!
