Does protein help?

Hi everyone! I have a little question to ask you.
I've heard and I've been reading that a high protein diet helps you with boosting your metabolism and that takes to a more efficient weight loss.
Is it true? Have you ever tried eating more protein and it helped you?

I consume body weight (188-200) a day. Yes I believe it helps0

I does not directly improve your metabolism - but in conjunction with strength training it supports muscle growth (which then increases metabolism).0

right. protein is the building block of muscle. also, it takes longer to digest so you will be left feeling more full for longer, which aids many in keeping portions under control.0 -
Thank you to all of you for your answers! I always do my best to do some strengh training during my day so that makes okay if I eat lots of protein
Good luck and thanks again !0
