Hi,

Can I get feedback on my meals and caloric intake? My goal is weight loss, specifically fat loss. My journal should be open to members.

Thanks,

Paul

Well I looked back at the last week and it looks like the food choices are good. Can you tell me what time you're eating your 'before bed' meal? And why are you looking for critique? It looks like with 18lbs lost you're doing well on your own?

Not sure why it matters what time that last meal is...

Otherwise, I agree. Good choices and you're obviously losing weight.

Wait until someone who believes in eating back your exercise calories sees this...

Yeah, my bedtime meal is anytime between 8-10:00 pm.

I plan on changing my diet in the following weeks because I'm getting tired of eating the same foods. I want to make sure that I have the fundamentals of macros correctly. I also want to see if I'm eating the "right" foods.

I'm seeing the results, but it doesn't necessarily mean I'm eating the "right" foods. So just looking for guidance and advice.

    Thanks in advance!

Your own comment about changing because of tiring of the same foods was my first thought. Your choices are good but it might help to begin replacing some of the items with new foods so you can expand what is available to you. Maybe switch out 2 or 3 things for a few days, then add a couple more. Part of sticking with it will be easier with more variety. You're doing great and we all want you to be able to do that...just switch it up a bit.

Yeah, because it's hilarious when someone is netting as little as 374 calories a day...

Paul, if your goal is fat loss, you need to eat enough to allow your body to function properly. If you don't, some of the weight you'll be losing will be lean muscle, and yes, eventually your metabolism will slow. Try figuring out your BMR and keep your net calories above that.

Not sure what the heck is going on but when I went to look at his food diary a file titled "paulv90.gz" started trying to download to my computer. What gives?

Your choice of foods is excellent. Looks like you're not taking in enough calories though - Just make sure you're taking in enough to replenish yourself and not put your body into starvation mode.

Your food choices are good. Personally I wouldn't TOUCH 0% Chiobani yoghurt. I would switch it up with full fat Greek yoghurt, something like Total by Fage and get rid of these nasty fat free yoghurts, especially the flavoured one at breakfast as they will be giving you a a serious sugar spike.

That's really the only thing I can see that you could possibly change.

Yeah... I figured my caloric intake wasn't where it was supposed to be after my workout. I feel really satisfied throughout the entire day, so this might be difficult. I will most likely increase the amount of chicken or other meats that I consume.

As for the .gz file, I'm not sure how that happened. The only information I update is what I eat.

Thanks for all the different suggestions and resources!
