Not sure what exactly you are wanting to do, but I am in love with my Saucony's!!!! They are technically running shoes, but they are the best. As a bonus, the price is great because you don't have to pay for crazy advertising and super star athletes mansions and bentleys. I was a die hard Nike fan until I found these and a top of the line shoe store and someone who actually knows what they are talking about told me about them. I have very narrow feet, and high arches (I wear an insert). Good luck!!0

I'm a Brooks fan all the way! I get the trail running shoes and wear them hiking, treadmill, jogging, exercise videos in the house, shopping, etc.. Best shoes I have ever worn, hands down. Right now I am wearing the Cascadia 5's!
Good luck in picking out your shoes!0 -
I do a lot of Plyometrics and side to side jumping, when I do workout DVD's, but also run, walk and do the elliptical, step, etc. I had a lady at a shoe store tell me that you can get a running shoe, as long as that shoe has lateral support as well. Many of the Asics Gel shoes do. I find them extremely comfortable, and love how the gel "melts" to your foot when your foot gets warm. I love my Brooks if I'm looking only for a running shoe, but the Asics are nice as they kill 2 bird with 1 stone!0

Thanks Guys ... I know what you mean about getting heel/toe latteral support
The reason why I'm looking into Cross training shoes for the first time, is I'm a full hearted running shoe girl / Running. When I was with the trainer yesterday we were doing 'Ice Skaters' (side to side jumps) and it felt like my ankle was going to roll because my shoes have so much cushion
don't know if that makes any sense! lol0 -

I just got these exact shoes about a month ago for much more $ and they are worth every cent! Best shoes I've ever had!0

I have a pair of Nike Vomero's that I love for walking and running, but they do not stand up to the Turbo Jam and cardio that I do. I just bought a pair of Nike Shox and I love them. They feel like part of my feet and not a big shoe.0

I love my New Balance 1011 cross trainers. They have good support for the jumping and stability training that I'm doing with my trainer. (I did have to purchase some insoles for additional arch support, but I have unusual feet.) They come in lots of widths too, which is nice if you have hard to fit feet.0
