Question about calories in this steak

hey all
i bought steaks from tesco earlier, it says on the back of the packet "a typical steak fried then trimmed of fat contains" then the amounts but i'm wondering if this would be counting the oil i'm adding in the process?
i don't think it is, it says 5.7g of fat, 2.5g of saturated fat, 2.7 mono, 0.2 polyunsaturated
i was going to fry it in a tsp of sunflower oil which contains 3g of polyunsaturated fat alone,
i looked up olive oil too and a tsp of that would contain 5g of fat alone, and the values on the packet says fried and trimmed of fat it would contain 5.7g of fat which seems too little to be counting the oil
Please help me figure this out! Thank you

No, they wouldn't be counting oil. They have no idea whether you're going to fry it with or without oil--some might use cooking spray, or nothing at all in a nonstick pan.0

You dn't need oil to cook a steak, there is plenty of natural fat in them.
And, the label woudn't add in your oil....this is the first time I've heard of using oil to cook a steak, but labeling only applies to the food in the package.0 -
keep in mind that all the fats you're worried about in this scenario are good fats that your body needs... be careful about eliminating ALL fats.
but yes, the nutrition facts do not include whatever oil you cook it in.0 -
Thank you guys for the speedy responses!
I'm bodybuilding so of course good fats (especially monounsaturated and saturated which impact testosterone) is important to me, i just wanted to be accurate when counting calories!
Thanks again!0 -

I use just a little oil on the pan or grill to ensure the steak doesn't stick.0
