Hello, I was so excited to find this site!
I was lucky (ok...spoiled) because I have always been at a healthy weight and never had to worry about what I ate. Now that I have children and I am middle aged...I cannot say that anymore! I also have overweight relatives, and they say that the weight has become a detriment to their health as they age. I hope to avoid that.
I need to educate myself about healthy food choices and have an active lifestyle. I am really trying to learn more about nutrition labels, and work on portion control when I eat. Although I am getting better at making healthy food choices, it is a challenge to feed the entire family when we have all been carbohydrate junkies...hubby is good about it eating healthy, but I need to brainwash our two sons.
I am at the point that I need to get rid of most of my clothes and buy a size up...I've gained 10# due to poor food choices and huge portions...can I blame some of it on hormones, too? I have talked about nutrition (and it is sincere)...but the vain (and penny-pinching) part of me loves my clothes and I don't want to get rid of them or buy a different size wardrobe!
I look forward to being a part of this community and hope to learn lots from all of you. Love the food record keeping. Quick and easy!
Thank you!
Jen
