Will cellulite ever go away?

Hey guys!
So I have around 15-20 pounds to go before I hit my goal weight, but at this point in time the weight isn't exactly key- it's looking good and feeling just as good. My biggest issue for me right now is cellulite, which does not seem to be getting better as I exercise. Recently, however, I started to incorporate weight training in hopes that it would help reduce the appearance, although I'd rather just get rid of it all. So, will it ever go away? Or am I just cursed? It's on my butt, too.

Mine has seemed to get better as I have done like squats and weight training. it seems to be a slow process though.0

I think the answer is...it depends?
I don't think it'll TOTALLY go away (there are some really awesome looking, extremely fit ladies who have some, too.) I have quite a bit, and I hope it will get at least a bit better. I think weight training is great, it's good you're doing that. The appearance of it should improve, at least. But it will probably take quite a bit of time and patience.0 -
Just keep doing your diet and exercise, and plenty of water.
If you have begun weight-lifting, encorporate squats/lunges/deadlifts.
I have found that deep-tissue massage is very helpful for this condition! It helps those tissues rid themselves of congestion and water-retention, brings the circulation to the area.0 -
I think it's a matter of patience. I still have some on my body but with weight lifting it's reduced a little (unless I'm just convincing myself of that because I look more toned). It takes time to go away. Drink lots of water - I've heard that helps.0

Mine has gotten somewhat better. Nothing like the cottage cheese look that I used to have. But I don't know if it will ever go completely away. One reason is that is where I carry all my weight in my butt and thighs and second, I have heard that it has to do with genetics.0

Here's my two cents...
My big sis owned a day spa in Alaska and I worked for her. We did a lot of cellulite treatments for customers. I learned a lot about cellulite. It's basically pockets of toxins. So critical to eat clean, drink plenty of pure water and even sauna can help with the sweating out toxins. Also,I suggest a fast/ cleanse to help get your system cleaned out and then eat clean and keep it up. All of this is a lifestyle change, and not another fad diet.
There are body wraps you can do and massaging the pockets of toxins help. That's why when's get a massage they encourage u to drink water, to flush out the toxins they just moved around.
Also, as we all know, cardio and weight lifting to help burn fat and create lean muscle.

It's a cell so it never "goes away", but you can reduce the "filling" of it by keeping body fat lower.

The cause of cellulite is multiple things (stress, poor diet, lack of exercise, dehydration, constipation, etc), the result is toxic fat tissue, which is poor in circulation.
So to return/re-establish proper eating/exercise, water intake, and with the help of massage to encourage those tissues to re-establish proper metabolism/circulation. The improvement you see from the massage (and an herbal non-compression type of bodywrap, which was my choice) will remain if you stay on track with proper eating/exercise.

As MinMin97 said, there are many things that can attribute to cellulite, so you never know for sure until you try. My friend, however, got rid of hers by cleaning up her diet. And I am talking about some serious clean up, not a bit of improvement here and there.0

Magnesium oil rubs help too, I'm told. The magnesium oil stimulates the blood vessels that run through the fat to expand and carry more of the waste products stored in the fat to be released. The fat then becomes smoother and less lumpy. Or, at least that's the theory. You can buy magnesium oil (which isn't really oil but very concentrated sea water) at most health food stores.0 -
