Just found out from my boss today that I will be going to 7 days on and 7 days off for a new schedule. While I am BEYOND excited for the time off of course ... how do I best plan to avoid things falling apart during the 7 days on?

Like I wont have time to cook ... afraid I wont have time to work out etc. I will be working 7 12 hour shifts...

Any advice or assistance with help!!

Subway, subway, subway! Just easy on the condiments and diet drinks or water! And at fast food places, small sized fries and diet drinks or water as well. There are many kinda good calorie choices you can find at fast food places. It might be more fat than you would like, but at least its not 3000 calorie meals >.<

Use your a day or two of your week off to prep food. I have seen recipes on Pinterest for crock pot meals that you freeze ahead...then take out the night before...stick in the crock pot in the morning...and bam....my kids don't love crock pot food and then i still have to make myself a veggie dinner so i don't really do this BUT...I did make a decent meal tonight for myself...I ate a portion, stuck a portion in the fridge for tomorrow's dinner and froze 2 others for other days.

If you prepped a few easy to turn to meals on the few days before your long stretch it would help....

as far as working out I think you know how to make it happen...but on your off week I would make sure I don't miss a day..then if you work out every other day on your week on you should be fine AND get some rest....

figure it out...you can make it work

Freezer space and storage bags for food. For exercise, try doing just 15 minutes of body weight exercises.

ETA: Meant to quote the above poster:

Thank you for your advice. Do you have any good make ahead recipes that freeze well that you would like to share?
