When did you start 'toning' excercise?

I don't want to just be flab and loose. I try to incorporate strength training at least 2 times a week but I feel like I'm all flab and don't see any toning definition, i'm afraid that all the excess I have will just turn into loose skin and am wondering what i can do to really start showing a tone body and not just a drop in weight.

I lift heavy more then twice a week and I joined kickboxing and zumba.. I still have fat to lose, but I'm all tight all over and you can feel it.

Heavy lifting 4x/week (I do 5/3/1 but started with New Rules 3x week), and cardio 3 or 4 times a week. Cardio is secondary for me, but I still enjoy it and try to get in at least 120 minutes of it a week.

I'm trying to incorporate it right now. I started 30 day shred to include strength in my cardio. I find strength training extremely boring, so circuit training has appeal.

What exercises do you do for strength training? Look into something like New rules of lifting or Stronglifts to get you started.

I try to do a 30 min circuit room at planet fitness and i just do 2 rotations on the machines so 30 minutes 2 to 3 times a week so far. And I do cardio 60 min 4-5 times a week
  • And I'm sorry for sounding so potato but where can I find the New Rules of Lifting?
