Which tv series do you think is better? Seinfeld or Roseanne? Me and my fiance are having a debate. If you would like, include why. Also, do you think your answer is also influenced by gender?

Seinfeld! One of the greatest sitcoms ever made.

I'm a male and I liked Roseanne more. Not a huge fun, but there was at least an attempt to have some depth to the people. Seinfeld was an annoying bunch, doing the old woody-allen, whiny, neurotic humor.

Roseanne. As a child I thought it was terribly mean. Then I grew up and I was like "OH **** THAT'S REALLY FUNNY!" Yes, it's likely influenced by my gender.

recently on our dish, they keep playing old Seinfeld and Roseanne. i dont really watch them. but i do like Roseanne over Seinfeld. i watched them both with my parents growing up. my fiance is a big tv man and it was just a random debate.

I never really liked either much. But, in saying that. I liked everyone on the Seinfeld show with the exception of Seinfeld, who I could not stand....sooooo I would choose Rosanne, she could be funny and I enjoyed the family.

I agree, but then again I never watch sitcoms, so maybe I don't know what I'm talking about.

i can relate to roseanne more. the whole family setting reminds me of mine growing up. its hard for me to relate to seinfield cause of it being based on a new york lifestyle.

Not even close - Seinfeld. Honestly can't even believe there is any question. Probably a little biased because I have never been able to stand Rosanne Barr as an "actress" or person. Her murder of the National Anthem didn't do her any favors either.

Roseanne hands down. I couldn't stand Seinfeld. Roseanne was the story of your average somewhat dysfunctional family just trying to get through. It was hard, they didn't always get along, they did love each other, and they always came up fighting.
