Lose fat.
Tip - use the 'search' button.0 -
Haha well maybe now that it's Sunday you'll get some replies. I'm in the process of losing the muffin top, my trainer says a lot of cardio will help, but eating right is 60% of this goal, too. I started eating apples and bananas for snacks, so it's helping!!
maybe some other people can post before/afters0 -
- Calorie deficit to lose the fat
- Patience
That's all there is to it. It can take quite a while depending on where you store your fat most but you'll get there. I'm working on it myself, never really had a flat stomach but determined to get one (and some abs) I have some progress pictures in my photos (before and during) taken over 2 months (30th dec - 1st march) if that helps somewhat. I just had a small calorie deficit and my exercise involves heavy lifting 4x a week.0 -
I believe my abs are a direct result of my diet. Exercising never made a difference in that area. Once I started paying attention to what I was feeding my body I saw great changes. I used to be a size 11-13. You can totally do this, just takes time, discipline, and commitment. Good luck! It's worth it!0

The only thing that works is losing the fat. Eat at a deficit and strength/resistance train. Do cardio. Eat everything in moderation. It will happen slowly.
I have a mini-muffin now because I'm at the top of a "bulk." But my muffin is shown in that green swimsuit pic on my board. That was me on Friday. Now look at the one of me in the red swimsuit. That was me with about 6 muffins on top of the swim bottom.0 -
WoW those pics of you guys are amazing. I am eating at a deficit and going to gym 5x per week and doing cardio and some lifting. ( focusing more on the cardio for now though...) Im werking on the healthy food im just waiting.... I want my rolls to go away0

not sure if this will work (never posted pics on here before). There is about 10 lbs difference in each of the photos. Not done yet, but it is progress
Hope this doesn't show up super small or super big cause I don't know how to change the size lol.
okay... huge fail. I give up with photobucket!0 -
I lift weights, do cardio, and maintain a small calorie deficit...nothing fancy.

Omg! You look awesome, my jaw just dropped :-) and you are so modest! I can imagine how hard you must workout and watch what you eat ...amazing!0 -
I got my abs from p90x which consisted of diet, cardio, and strength training:) eat clean cut out junk that's a good place to start:)0

100% this.
I don't have a 'before' pic because I hated my two-level muffin top below my belly button, but there is a 'now' pic of me in my first ever bikini among my profile photos you can look at. The pic was taken in Jan.
I first joined MFP on Dec 2011. Like most newbies, I spent a ton of time on cardio only and knew little about better nutrition besides the obvious (minimize the consumption of processed foods and refined carbs, yada yada yada). Then I started reading voraciously on the subject while an awesome buddy of mine got me started on strength training. I increased my consumption of lean protein, ate at a small calorie deficit, and lifted heavy 3x a week. That bikini pic took more than 10 months to develop.
My macros are a little different now because I have different goals but I still lift heavy 3x a week. All compound movements. Lift heavy, lift heavy, lift heavy. :flowerforyou:0 -

Okay. I ditched photobucket. Hope this works It's not washboard abs (far from it!!) but my muffin top is slowly shrinking
edit: I changed my diet and became more active. You can't spot reduce, but losing in general sure helps :P0 -

amazing! in only 10 months? wow i hope in 10 months i will look that good0 -
I've always had a "flat" stomach but didnt have too much definition. I've worked really hard on mainly focusing on my diet and I think I've had the best results since then. I'm also a runner so I do a lot of cardio when I have the chance. So I would suggest eating right and a good mixture of cardio and strength. But mainly focus on what you eat! Need ideas? Feel free to add me and search thru my diary.0
