Fitbit Zip Question

Does anyone have/use the Fitbit Zip (or any of the Fitbit trackers for that matter...) to log steps, calories burned, etc?? I am thinking of getting one and have a question about how it works. Does it track your steps and calories and everything just over a 24 hour period and then reset itself at the end of the day?? Or can you start and stop/ reset the tracker?

One of the big reasons that I want to get a tracker like this is for my waitressing job. I would like to be able to determine how many calories I burn when I am serving, but sometimes my shifts go past midnight and I don't want it to reset itself in the middle of my shift.

Any tips, suggestions, answers, or general comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

It does reset at midnight. I've had mine for a few weeks and I like it a lot.

I have a fitbit Zip and it simply records steps, distance, and calories burned (you set that up online with your weight so it can calculate). It resets every 24 hours automatically. MFP allows you to sync your accounts so that you can include your activity from you fitbit too. I really like it, simple and it keeps me motivated to increase my steps.

I use it and love it.

Like MFP, it makes me aware and accountable to myself of my activity. If I find I don't have enough activity in a given day I make a conscious effort to get up and move, take the stairs, etc. It brings activity to a conscious level.

I have a Fitbit One - and love it

It keeps track of steps, stairs, and sleep, also calories burned

It has a screen and shows a flower growing based on how much activity you do

I also has your name and has personalized messages like - " pick me up Dori!" if I haven't moved in a while
I've also seen it say BonJour Dori and other funny stuff

I love that it syncs with MFP and it has a free dashboard on fitbit.com to keep track of your stats. Or $50 for a year to get personalized help with your fitness program

The Fitbit one wirelessly links with my computer so I only plug it in when I need to charge it ( about once a week )

Also - there's a cool site called Earndit - which links your Fitbit or other trackers to the site to earn points

And points = rewards like gift cards to healthy businesses, and clothing, etc.

I just joined about 2 weeks ago and already have earned enough points for a gift card for Klutch club box delivery.

Click on my link here so I can be your referral!
