Whenever I do mat work my hip bones and tail bone hurt from pressing into the ground. It's becoming a problem. I couldn't finish doing the sit ups in my workout yesterday because it was too uncomfortable. I'm thinking my yoga mat is too thin. Does anyone have a suggestion on what brand I should get? I tried using a towel over my mat but that didn't really help that much.

The lululemon ones are crazy thick, I've used mine as a crash mat when practicing pole before. They're a bit pricey, though.

Thanks for the suggestion! It's probably worth the investment.

Lulumon mats are the best quality in terms of thickness, supportive and prizer, but definitely worth it. This should definitely help you in posture and alignment. You can purchase a travel yoga mat at TARGET to maintain it in godd quality for $20. and looks cute as well with a small pocket. Let me know!
