Bowflex Extreme SE

Does anyone have any experience with Bowflex? My husband has been wanting to get one and I found a really nice one on craigslist really inexpensive. I am interested in finding out if anyone has used a Bowflex and what do they think? I have been great with getting on the treadmill at home but I need to do some strength training. I was wondering if this would be a good idea. It is cheaper and more convenient than the gym.
