what's a good ingredient to add to cottage cheese?

I blend it in the blender and use it for everything. Lil bit of ranch seasoning added to it for a dip. Lil bit of pudding powder when I'm craving something sweet. I use it as sour cream. Girl i work with hates the texture of cottage and loves it this way, she adds fruit to hers.I blend the whole container at a time, it blends way better that way and I just store in in it's original container.0

furikake ( but be careful of the sodium) just about any crunchy veggies are tasty.... loads of folks I know add fruit - pineapple, pears etc.... I prefer savory though0

Try adding peaches0

I'm more savory than sweet so I put tomatoes in mine. Usually chopped up ones but grape or cherry works really well too. Splash with some pepper and it's gold!0

I use Franks Hot Sauce, which believe it or not tastes real good. For added crunch I use 2 multigrain Corn Thins.0

Depending on my mood, I may add Italian Seasoning, or red pepper flakes, or even some Frank's Red Hot Sauce. Spicy foods are supposed to raise the metabolism.0

For a dessert, I melt cinnamon and brown sugar in a bowl (not a lot) with diced apple, once it's warm I add it to the cottage cheese and mix it. It's sort of like apple pie filling, but healthier.0

It sounds gross, but I mix it with a can of tuna and put it on a salad. DELISH!0

Not savory, but my favorite add-ins are Cool Whip, lime gelatin, and diced pears. Still low-cal with the sugar-free varieties.0

Savory: Cottage Cheese Caprese (fresh basil, diced tomatoes, black pepper, a splash of olive oil and balsamic vinegar)
Sweet: I love dried cherries with slivered almonds. This week I am trying peanut butter and banana.
I never thought of a caprese! That sounds delicious and a lot less fat than Mozzarella!0 -
