The first picture is months before I started losing weight at about 226, and the second picture is me about 30 pounds lighter a few weeks ago :)

You look so great! How long did it take you to lose 30 lbs? And how did you do it? I'm starting at a similar place to you and have pretty much the same goal. Could use some inspiration!

Thank you! I did it by tracking what I ate and trying to exercise a little more. It probably took me about a year to get to that point. I plateaued for a while around 150 and then again around 145. and now I'm stuck again around 140.
I had to make a lot of changes to my eating habits. I started around 1800 net calories when I began, and before that, I ate a lot of garbage. I still eat a lot of garbage, but I've learned to pick healthier options when I go out to eat. I didn't work out a ton in the beginning, mostly just an occasional short run on the treadmill and use of Wii Fit. But it was more than I was moving before and it worked for a while.

I stopped tracking for a while, and never gained anything back, but realized I also couldn't lose without keeping track of my calories. I've also increased my exercise by starting Insanity in hopes of breaking the plateau I'm at now.

Just remember to try to exercise, but more importantly, to stay within or around your calorie goal. And don't get discouraged. It's a slow process, but it's possible.
