clueless!!!!

So Ive been at this since January 3rd. Ive only lost 3 pounds since. BUT before I get slammed with negativity about it not being very long since I started- My question is about the TDEE calculations. The 20% of my calculation is 1708. That number scares the f bomb out of me! So I set my goal to 1650 cal/day. I am NOT supposed to eat my calories back CORRECT??? I had been so I believe that is why I havent lost any more. If you view my diary I am not 100% ALL the time BUT 80-85% of the time Im mindful. Is the TDEE the best number to use at this????

TDEE -20% for me recommends 2400+ calories and I can't imagine eating that many calories of good healthy food, and I don't want to fill a calorie goal with fluff and junk. I'm generally eating 1600-1800 calories a day (sometimes as much as 2000 - maybe once a week), which is plenty to keep me full and get the recommended amounts of nutrients, and I burn about 600-1000 six days a week. I do a mix of cardio and strength training. It's been working great for me. I'm down 22lbs (205-183) and I'm on day 60. Everyone is different. You have to find what works for you. Good luck!

Down 22 lbs is great. When I started I think my TDEE was around 2400. Since I started, I have been trying to stay around 1500 and I don't eat back my exercise calories. Since I am trying to lose weight, I'm using the exercise to not only get in shape but to help with the weight loss, so why eat back the calories? When I make it to maintenance (a long way to go), then I'll eat back some of those calories. I've dropped 43 lbs since Jan 21st.

Just looking quickly through your diary maybe try to incorporate fruits and vegetables into your diet and cut out fast food. I know it doesnt take you over your calories for the day all the time but its loaded with not so healthy things your body needs. Dont give up and little changes make big differences, good luck!
