Sugar in tea

Options
I currently have 1-1.5 sugars in my tea and I have between 2-3 cups per day! Can anyone advise if cutting this sugar will make a difference to my weight loss.

Less calories means more weight loss, so yes unless you make up those calories somewhere else. You could always substitute it with splenda/stevia.

If you are concerned about your dietary choices, the sugar in your earl grey should be last of your worries. :)

The caloric value is relatively small.

Generally, I either don't take sugar in my tea or use splenda. If I'm feeling sick or I have a sore throat, then damn the calories I need honey in my tea.

I think (Now could be totally wrong here) there are about 17 calories in a teaspoon of sugar, so that's about 51 to 76ish calories. Not too bad if you remember to include them in your food diary.

I almost forgot, I actually use half a packet of sugar in my tea when I go out for chinese, but that isn't very often anyway, like maybe 4 times a year...

Truvia or honey is probably the healthier option (or no sugar at all!) but I really like German Rock Sugar from Teavana.

My opinion is, it is a relatively easy thing to cut out, and although only a small change it must make a slight difference in the long run.
