Does anyone know of a good website to go to for visual measurements? For example: one ounce of cheese looks like what? Thanks for your help!

An ounce of cheese is about the size of your thumb from the middle joint to the tip. If it's shredded, it's a VERY loosely packed 1/4 cup. 3 ounces of meat is about the size and thickness of a cassette tape (remember those?). I highly recommend you buy a food scale. They are inexpensive and totally worth it.0

This might help. Under each food group they have a "what counts as an ounce" or "what counts as a cup" link. I used to know of a better one somewhere, but I can't think of it. If I refind it, I'll let you know0 -
Aaaand, I just found it. This is the one that compares sizes to household objects, like baseballs, decks of cards, etc.
