Being a Bride/MOH and Losing Weigh

So, my best friend of 13 years is getting married in July and I am her MOH... I have to go order my dress Monday for the dress to come in on time. I technically have reached my first goal of 10 pounds and am pretty happy with the results. I thought last week that I might like to lose 3 to 5 more pounds. Then I thought about her wedding and mine that is in October. I have already bought my wedding dress and I honestly have not tried it on since I lost 10 pounds let alone 15. I know that I can have it taken in if I need to, but that's alot of extra money. I guess I am just wondering if I should risk it and lose the 5 more pounds and take the risk of both dresses not fitting like they would now and paying to have them altered. Which would make me happy and sad at the same time, lol ... Maybe I am just being greedy with my weight loss and need to stick to my first goal and just tone up my body now. I'm just not sure.

It's like, you are on a weight loss high and want to continue it, but still look fab in your two dresses.
This site will be here after the weddings, no matter what decision you make.
You are five lbs away from your goal. Could you hold off losing the 5lbs until after your friend's wedding, but lose that pesky 5lbs before your own wedding, since it is 4 months from now?

No matter what your decision, you have fun during both weddings! Early congratulations to you both!! :drinker:

Thank you for your advice! ... I am going to try on the dresses and see how they fit and go from there. It won't hurt to tone up though I guess, lol.

    thanks again! =)

Actually, that's why I joined this site to begin with! My BFF is getting married in August, and I was feeling uncomfortable with my weight. I went and bought my dress, and actually got it a size SMALLER then what I am. Let me clarify, The bust/waist measurements that fit me were for a size 14, but the hips were ONE inch above 14, so, although they said I should order bigger, I didn't want to spend another small fortune getting it altered.

    So, I got a size 14.

I have a $300 incentive hanging in my closet to loose a few inches/pounds.

I'll try to keep it within a certain range before the wedding, but, after the wedding all bets are off, and so is the weight!

    Best of luck with yours!
