Is it worth the extra calories?

Thanks!

If you are short on protein it is. I use protein powder to help me reach my protein goals sometimes. MFP sets protein pretty low as a default for some reason so it's best to go over it.

No need to add protein to smoothies if you are getting more than enough from real food.

Keep in mind that mfp's protein goal is a bit low. Generally you want around 70-80% of your total weight in protein ... well realistically its 1 g of protein per lb of lbm but most people dont track body fat.

IMO protein is the most important macro, so its always worth getting more.

I stopped adding the protein powder and started adding 1/2 cup of fat free Greek Yogurt.
