Hello
How is everyone? Hope all is well
My name is Skye and I'm trying to achieve my weight lost journey.
As of Monday I weighed in at 162.0. My goal is 130 or 135...but my ultimate goal is 125 (I've never been 125 in my life!) I'm 5'0 and I think I have a pear shape...I have a gut and I have huge thunder thighs and calves (My weight is mostly in my legs and I'm trying to get rid of them. I vary from a size 11 to 13 in jeans depending on how it's made. I HAVE TO HAVE STRETCH JEAN!! For my big thighs )
I took a body pod assessment and my body fat was 28% and muscles were 71%
My workouts consist of lots of cardio cause I want to shred this weight! Cardio varies from 20 mins to sometimes an hour. And then the rest of my workout is weight training. Is there any suggestions or tips you all can give me to reach my goal? If so please tell cause I think I'm at a plateau
Thanks so much!

How is your diet? As everyone says "you can't out train a bad diet". I'm learning that the hard way too!. Have you tried HIIT? I lift weights 4 days a week and do cardio 3-4 times a week but I keep it under 2 hours a week. I would recommend HIIT cardio, weight training and a good, calorie deficit diet. Good luck!0

Hi there, I agree with the poster about your diet? How is that? Weight loss is 75% diet and 25% exercise. You seem to have a great handle on the exercise part!!0

To princessbee76 what is "HIIT" it sounds interesting
And to the both of you Kini324 and princessbee76 my diet is fairly good. I literally eat Lean Cuisines all day etc for breakfast, snacking and sometimes dinner. NO SODAS lol. I drink green tea all day constantly. And I don't eat pass 6pm unless I eat a snack like a fruit after I come back from the gym but that's it. 5 to 6 small meals a day. And I'm always hungry lol. But I drink water to make myself full0 -
HIIT is "high intensity interval training". For example, if you are doing a 30 minute eliptical workout, you would warm up for 3-4 minutes then from there out do like 1-2 minutes at really high intensity followed by 2-3 minutes at low/moderate intensity then finish with 2-3 minutes low intensity to cool down. You can do that with any cardio - walking, running, bike, swim.
Lean Cuisines are okay but they are highly processed. Do you eat them for convenience? Any reason you don't eat past 6:00 p.m.? It's good to get a good blend of protein and carbs into your body after a workout. It helps the muscles recover. You might want to look at shifting your food calories around, especially if you are always hungry. That's no way to live!!!0 -
Lean Cuisines IS GARBAGE ! loaded with all KINDZ of sodium ALLL KINDSZZZ !!!! ... eat clean , oatmeal, chicken, vegetables, stay away from stuff that has ingridients you can pronounce or dont knopw what they are. hiit HIGH INTENSITY INTERVAL TRAINING ,,,,,,,i do it all the time .......go hard for a minute and rest for a minute.....i run at 10.0 on treadmil for 1 lap or 1/4 mile then i walk the next lap 1/4 mile and repeat for till you cants take no mores ...0

I eat them when I'm in a hurry to grab something to bring for lunch. If MFP has taught me anything it's REAL food is so much better and you can eat sooo much of it and lose weight0 -
I think your principle of eating 5-6 times a day is good, but, yes, eating lean cuisines so many times a day is not good. Try and eat lean protein, veggies, and healthy fats. I do a lot of cooking on weekends so I can have "fast" food during the week with my busy schedule. Today's lunch was a giant salad with salmon, some avocados, and a sprinkle of cashews with a hard boiled egg and some baby carrots.
If you are hungry a lot, you def need more protein and healthy fats. Also, try to keep your sugar low. It can seem overwhelming to eat clean, but it's totally doable. Good luck!0 -
First off mad kudos to you all! And I thank all of you for the advice!
Princessbee and Armando I will definitely try the HIIT tonight at the gym
And the reason why I've been eating the Lean Cuisine a lot is because I've been getting my kitchen done for almost a week now and it beats going out to eat everyday and ordering fast food lol. And so much cheaper. But hopefully next week my kitchen will be done and finish so I can use it. And I don't eat passed 6pm is because I kinda have a snacking problem and I could go over board with it...so I figure I don't eat passed that time and I just try to get myself into bed around 9/930pm (I'm such an old lady smh lol)
And another question...is my calorie count correct that I should be consuming 1200 a day? Could I consume more? My goal each week is to lose at least 1 to 2 pounds...And I weigh myself every Monday0 -
try the calculators at fat2fit.com.......ive lost all my weight and used the numbers they gave me not mfp, i mostly used mfp to track, but the numbers they give just were cray!0
