Well, here's take 3!
As a child, I was only a little overweight. Never really gave much to fitness, just enough to keep up with my friends in the woods playing. Then, in my junior year of high school, I got hit by a truck; that's where this lazy balloon was born. Left leg broken in two places, shoulder and knee banged up pretty bad...the list goes on. I gained almost 100 pounds by taking the easy way out. Sitting down, blaming my injuries for everything. I made an excuse every chance I got as to why I couldn't go do something active with my friends. Even though I kept a fairly physically demanding job, this behavior lasted until 2008.
A co-worker started taking water pills to lose weight. He was more obese than I was, and I told him that he was losing weight the wrong way. A challenge was born, 6 months to lose as much as we could in our own ways. His water pills versus my diet & exercise. I lost 51 pounds, he lost 38 and was miserable the whole time. Alas, that job transferred me 50 miles from home and gym time suffered. Since then, I've put 30 pound of it back on. Now, thanks to a golden opportunity, I'm back at it.
It's nice to meet my war buddies.
My brother-in-law was a personal trainer, and needed a gym buddy. I volunteered immediately. Free personal training? Can't pass that up! So here I am at a fluffy 325, pushing for a muscular 230.

Hey bud... I'm on my (seriously) 14th attempt at weight loss, and because of the great folks here on MFP (and a little effort on my part watching what I eat and working out a bit) I've dropped 26 pounds since January 22, 2013 and haven't looked back!
You can absolutely do this... add me and let's make this happen for you!
Cheers.
