I have been talking about it. I will try but not sure if I can fit it into my life as I put most of my time and effort into P90X.

Sure! Would love to join you all--I used to run years ago, but would like to do a couple 5Ks this year--maybe even work up to a 10K.

    Zoom. : )

I'll do it! I have done 2 5K's and one 10K, but none of them recently enough to matter LOL My conditioning is back to a novice level so I'd love to join up!

You guys have podcasts to help the process? I highly recommend them!!! Makes a WORLD of difference to me!

I'm thinking about starting that today actually. At least give it a try and see what I'm capable of. I might get into the program fully once I'm done with the 30 Day Shred in 2 weeks. Or alternate doing that and running.

I would love to start also.
I completed Week 1 Day 1, it was tough, I have never run before.
2 of the run segments in the middle of the program I had to walk, but then I finished up running. I am sure as each day goes, it will get better and better. I felt great when I was done!

I just read about this yesterday and was wondering if I could do it. I have never ran, and just started walking. Can you tell me how much the podcasts are?

    Thank you

I thought I was going to die tonight. I'm 56 and haven't ran since my girls were little. I just started walking the end of May. So this was very new to me.

Anyway I couldn't jog for the full minute, so I started out with 30 seconds. I was doing it on the track, run 30 seconds then walk the rest of the track briskly. I did that for the 20 minutes. Then I decidec to go ahead and finish out my 2 miles. Normally we walk 2 miles in 50 minutes, but tonight I did the 2 miles in 35 minutes. That is with the jogging and walking at a faster pace.

    I know it wasn't quite right...but hey I DID something:bigsmile:

I did Day 1 yesterday! I managed a solid 30 minutes of intervals with walking at 3.7mph and running at 5.0mph. It felt good, but I was definitely tired at the end of it. The last few runs were a bit hard but I didn't let myself stop. I even hopped on the elliptical for another 10 minutes after I finished! It was a good workout. I think that's what I'll be doing at the gym when I go twice a week now. It'll take me longer to get thru the program, but I'm willing to stretch it out. I just want to work up to really running eventually, and go from there. Apparently Jillian Michaels said running is just about to best way to lose weight, plus I do the 30 Day Shred and EA Sports Active for the Wii. I'll be doing those two tonight...

I ran 2.3 miles yesterday and thought it would be nice to do a 5K. I think that they are so much fun with all the people and cheering. I am in too. I'll have to look up the one near me to put on a calendar.
