This recipe is from @fitfreakgeek / @spicyysweet on instagram, just posting for others to try because it's delicious!

PROTEIN ICE CREAM:
(Base - 1 serving)
1/2 cup plain nonfat greek yogurt,
2 tbsp cottage cheese,
1/2 scoop sunwarrior vanilla protein powder (or another powder),
sweetener to taste (I used 1T maple syrup and 1 packet truvia).

To make it chocolate (I did) add 1T unsweetened cocoa powder.

Stir up and freeze for at least 1 hour.
Scoop and add toppings of your choice!!!

I topped with 2T peanut butter, a couple choc chips, and a handful of blueberries SRSLY ROCKING MY WORLD ITS SO DAMN GOOD. Recipe thanks to @fitfreakgeek and @spicyysweet on instagram (they're adorable twins who are super fit and make great protein recipes) They have tons of variations on this recipe too! I am intrigued!

I actually spontaneously mixed greek yogurt with pumpkin puree and vanilla stevia and froze it the other day and it was pretty darn good. Can't wait to try this!

@Sarauk2sf that's how I felt too ;) haha. I was like hey I have all these ingredients... and man it was really good I'm so glad I tried it! I mean how can you go wrong with sweetened yogurt and peanut butter on top? You really can't. It's just basically a yogurt parfait that's been frozen so it's more like ice cream ;) I think the cottage cheese makes it creamier and you can't taste the protein powder at all so that's pretty nice!

I forgot to mention if you add cocoa powder, try adding a splash of milk/almond milk to mix it in properly.

Just made mine...I have chocolate protein powder, so I just made it with the yogurt, cottage cheese, my protein powder, and one packet of truvia and it was delicious!

Does it get chunky because of the cottage cheese? I see myself having texture issues (yeah, whatever, I'm weird). I might blitz it in the food processor and then run it through my ice cream machine to smooth it out.

I do frozen bananas and blend protein powder into that then grease a container with coconut oil. 2 ingredients is the lazy ice cream maker inside of me.

Just stuck mine in the freezer. I don't have a food processor, so we will see how it turns out. Before the fridge, it was pretty chunky. I kinda grossed myself out. We will see how it comes out when it's done though. The actual flavor is pretty good!

Hm, because it's only 2tbsp of cottage cheese I only noticed the occasional white spot in the chocolate ness, but it all freezes to the same texture ("frozen texture" hah) so I didn't notice. I mostly noticed the yummy peanut butter I put on top haha.

I think processing it in the food processor would deal with any texture issues you may have though!

BTW I kept mine in the freezer for longer today, like 3 hours, and I wasn't as huge of a fan because it got really cold and frost bit because I didn't put a lid on it haha. So if you're making in advance I suggest a lid and also to let it sit out before eating it. I think 1 hour is the perfect amount of freezer time.
