Needed: Good weight lifting program

Hi. I am just starting a TDEE reset. I want to focus on building as much strength as possible during my reset. Can anyone recommend a good weight lifting routine that can take me from BEGINNER to heavy lifting? I have found several routines online, but they vary a lot. I would love to start today. Your input is appreciated!

    Stronglifts 5x5 or Starting Strength are the two easiest. Very simple.


    I do stronglifts and prefer it.

    Starting strength or stronglifts.

    Though a good program is one that you'll bust your *kitten* doing. I'd rather see you killing it with almost any program rather than half-assing it with starting strength or stronglifts.

    I favour The New Rules of Lifting for Women. It's a full program for several months worth of lifting, created especially for -- as the name indicates -- women. I'm only half through the first stage and I've already improved more than in six months of using random machines.

    I do Starting Strength--love it. New Rules of Lifting is great, too.

    Stronglifts is good, and it's all online, so you could start that one pretty easily.

    I'm starting Stage 5. HIGHLY recommend this program. I'm 60 and stronger now than I have been in 30 years!

    agreed.

    full body circuits can be very very beneficial to beginners.

    Does anybody know a good way to log kettlebell workouts? There is nothing in the database, and I am not sure how to get a rough figure based on the workout.

    just to be different, i like 5/3/1. check it out. and i use strstd.com to track what i do, and how i should progress.

    excellent program, but for someone that is a beginner it could be slightly confusing.

    For me, I found squatting and leg work 3 times a week I did not recover in my legs very well. I would recommend a Upper/Lower Split 3 days a week on alternating days.

    Tons of workout templates at the above link.

    The italicized excercises are optional, and as a beginner I would forgo those for now and focus on the main lifts.
