It's only too much if it upsets your stomach or causes constipation. Too much fiber, not enough water will cause constipation.

    I go over everyday.

Just pay attention to macros, don't worry too much about micros.

Fiber helps keep you regular. Too much fiber will stuff you up and cause you to be uncomfortable. If you are finding the you are uncomfortable, decrease the fiber amount and then slowly increase it again if you want to. Just make sure when you are eating a lot of fiber drink a lot of water so that you don't get constipated

I aim for 35g-40g/day. Whatever you decide is right for you, make sure you're drinking plenty of water.

If you are going by the MFP default amount then you need to be over the default amount is way low just like the protein is low you should have a minimum of 20g of fiber per day. Too much I guess would be double this. Make sure you are also drinking enough fluids.
  • Thanks for all the answers. I do drink tons of water, i feel fine so i guess i am fine! :)

Thanks for mentioning this! I went vegan a few weeks ago and my fiber intake shot up to around 50g or so a day. I couldn't understand why I was going LESS to the bathroom, but it makes sense now. I really need to work on upping my water intake.
