Hi everyone , my name is Robin . I have recently been diagnosed with hypothyroidism. I have steadily gained weight over the last year or more and have found it very difficult to lose . I have been taking Synthroid for several weeks now and am hoping to get some energy and life back ! I would appreciate any tips from any fellow "hypo's" :-) Good luck to everyone on your weight loss journey !

I just had a physical and they told me that I may have also. They want me to come back in 3 weeks to re-test to make sure. I am currently in the best shape of my life so what are the symptoms, issues, etc?

Hi, I am hypothyroid and also have adrenal gland fatigue along with PCOS (which seems to be the root of all my disorders).....Former Type 2 diabetic now Insulin Resistant.

I can tell you that what is working for me is working with a Naturopathic Dr and a natural pharmacist that actually has an understanding of TSH, Free T3 and Free T4, T4 to T3 conversion, etc..........Cortisol, DHEA, etc............

I am doing the Primal Blue Print plan by Mark Sisson and taking natural thyroid and cortisol.

Hi, I'm Hypo too. Other symptoms are coarse hair, feeling cold alot and constipation. I've been on Synthroid for a while now and I really feel better. Especially since losing some weight. Less exhausted. My exhaustion on debilitating. I had a radioactive uptake Scan and I evidently have some small benign tumors in my thyroid. I just had new blood work done yesterday and I'm still waiting for results to verify my Synthroid level is adequate. I am losing weight though so I think it's ok. Can't wait to see how my lipids have changed since changing my diet.

Hi thanks for sharing . I am glad you are on your way to getting things leveled out. I have heard horror stories of how impossible it is for "hypo's" to lose weight . So glad to hear you are having good results .
