My daily caloric intake is set at 1500 calories....I binged on 6 cookies (360 cal), worked out really hard at the gym ( 1 hr. rowing, 40 min. elliptical and 30 min . upper body (weights). I've only eaten a protein bar and a bowl of cereal and my net calories show that I shouldn't eat anything else but my available calories is still at 1339. I AM HUNGRY.....Should I ignore net calories?

EAT EAT EAT. I think you're confusing what you've eaten with your net, as your net is food eaten minus exercise.

You might feel better with some more protein and some good fats-like chicken or fish cooked with a little olive oil. The foods you listed above are high in calories but low in nutrition. Does that make sense? All those carbohydrates are great for quick energy, but you need some more substantial food to help keep you feeling full. Nuts, olive oil, avocado, all these healthy fats will help you to feel full longer. Next time you plan on the gym, eat your carbs BEFORE you work out, and you may notice a difference in how hungry/full you fell afterwards.

    Good Luck!

If you are following MFP's recommendations for calories, then you want your net calories to equal 1500. If MFP says you have 1339 remaining calories, then you should eat them. Especially if you worked out that hard. You have to eat to fuel your workouts or you'll get burned out.

Also, a binge is not 6 cookies considering I've been known to eat an entire box of cheez-its. :)
