Hi all!
I've been struggling with my weight FOREVER, and have had solid stretches of winning the battle, maintaining downright athletic status for 5 years. I gained ALL of it back plus interest (gaining a total of no less than 190 lbs...), and lost 70 of it before starting grad school a year and a half ago.
Last summer, I really exercised a lot and logged my food to drop another 25 lbs, but a new year's schedule, a bad injury, and (if I'm honest) sloppy eating resulted in gaining 20 lbs back, dangit!
Today, I exercised, logged my food, and have spent a couple of hours really digging into the forums. I noticed two things: one was an explanation for why I was losing so slowly last summer while biking 60+ miles a week (I wasn't eating anywhere near the days' calories); and two, it seems like most of the people with real success are the ones who are involved. I'm so sick of playing around and barely dipping into a range where I can move comfortably before gaining back, so it seems time that I stop doing it.
So this is my first post to make a change and start participating.
