I'm extremely excited about MFP. At my heaviest, I was 291 lbs on a 6'2" frame. People always complimented me by saying, "You're tall and you wear it well." Honestly, I felt horrible. I started looking at my wedding photos from 10 years ago, where I was a lean 226 lbs. I want to feel that way again.

Started an exercise and no soda strategy 2 weeks prior to MFP, but I still maintained my late night snacking and daily Pop Tart fix. I dropped to 283 lbs., but MFP has really helped me change my decision making. I continued my exercise and water intake, downloaded MFP on March 1, 2013, set my goals, and started logging in my diary. On March 1, 2013, I logged 244 calories over my daily goal. Due to dinner out with colleagues, I have only blown it one other time. Yesterday, I weighed in at 277 lbs. I use instagram a lot...seeing folks post images with their #weightlossjourney tag keeps me motivated.

I'm extremely happy with MFP. I was actually able to wear a couple of my old suits to work over the past week.

Thanks @ChristineS_51 and @tonetta_g. Maintaining will be the key. In my past journey to lose weight, I generally drop the first 10 to 15 quickly. I can honestly say that I have never tried to monitor my eating habits until now. My old way was to eat what I wanted and just exercise it away. It worked well in my 20s, but caught up with me. With my goal before me, I am committed to getting this right.
