Hey, I've been using mfp for about 2-3 months now and have only lost 2 kilos in that time. I'm finding it had to get the deficit in calories that is needed for weight loss and balance that with getting enough protein to gain muscle as I'm a competitive gymnast. I haven't done any measurements, only weight.
My calorie intake is set at 1200 but with the amount that I exercise I only eat around 600-800 net most days.
After 2 months of this I feel like I should have lost more than 2 kilos, anyone got any tips?

U answered ur own question when u said u eat only 1200 cals per day with an even lower net. Try to net at least 1200 cal per day and eat more. Go to scooby foo fitness calculator to figure out how many cals u need per day. I eatt 1800-2000 cal a day and the weight and inches are coming off. Eat more. 1200 cals per day is unrealistic.0

Thanks, I'll try to eat more and see if that helps.0

2 kg is 4.4 lbs, (2 X 2.2= 4.4 lbs) so I think it's a great weight loss!
Do the measurements and you probably will see it in a diffrent way
If you maybe try TDEE-20% you will see some other change but if you feel that what you are doing is making you feel good, why stop!0 -
Whats the TDEE? im really bad with the terminology here!0

If you aren't looking to lose a lot of weight then MFP maybe is the right way. But I have over 40 lbs to go and felt that I never could have a treat. but with a higher calorie and exercise 3-4 times a week (cardio 45 min) I know that I can have a kit kat or what ever 1 or 2 times a week.:drinker:0 -
Read this and eat more:
