My husband is out of town visiting his old university and a bunch of his fraternity brothers (circa 1970 something). I am too sore from my workout yesterday and today to shovel the 8" of heavy, wet, spring snow out of my driveway to go anywhere. I'd probably just end up at the grocery store anyway. I'll stay in and clean or maybe watch a movie on Demand and worry that I should be cleaning.
  • have work in a few hours,
plus I have no money and no gas
yay the weekend before pay day :drinker:

I'm enjoying staying in tonight. I'll probably have a glass or two of bourbon and listen to records.

Since the subject of guitarists has come up, here's my favorite:

    John McLaughlin
    Duane Allman
    Eric Clapton
    Jimi Hendrix
    Derek Trucks

Some very good guitar players past 1972 bro lol.

Derek Trucks wasn't even alive in '72, and I would consider him a more contemporary guitarist. But if I was to name some favorites that are a bit more modern I'd go with Marc Ford, Larry LaLonde, and Trey Anastasio (before herion seemingly destroyed his ability to play).

oh cmon dont split hairs. And hey im as guilty as you, I think the guitar should've been retired in 1978 after Eddie Van Halen redefined it. THis is only slight hyperbole.

Even those things that most people find incredibly fascinating in the New York City - Princeton - Philadelphia -- Atlantic City triangle are small ball and overrated.

My party days are LONG over, and the bf has to work, but we're getting ready for an exciting Sunday morning of grocery shopping LOL
  • Tired of watching Sponge Bob with my 3 yr old. She is the only one not sick and doesn't understand the value of quiet-time when you're ill.

Leaving on a jet plane at 630am... yep I just did that. Going to Charleston SC for the first time ever for work (any good places to eat out there) AND I am a loser and sliced my hand open with a very sharp kitchen knife last night so I cant go bowling with my friends, and I am old. That is all

I'm at work finishing up another twelve hour shift and this is one of the few websites they haven't blocked yet. I'm sure eventually it will happen though. I never underestimate their ability to stamp out all enjoyment from my life.

Sometimes I like staying in, cocooned in blankets, sipping tea and reading a good book. Spending time alone is my way to unwind, and I like my own company. No excuse needed. ;)

Oddities is on Saturday night and I have a crush on Ryan Matthew Cohn. Plus, I like going to the gym Saturdays because I have the place all to myself.
  • Hubby is working out of town. On our anniversary. There are cookies in the kitchen and the computer is keeping me away from them.
