Just started low/lower carb diet within past couple of weeks. Please post your success....totals....how fast you began to lose weight. I know there are alot of nay-sayers on this subject but we all have different bodies and different things work for different people! Whatever way we get there as long as it is something we can live with after we reduce our weight. I am not on a "severe" low carb diet--doing it the way I feel I am comfortable with in the long run!

Ahem... Well I started with a low-carb diet mid January...and have since lost about 38lbs... Its been difficult, as i am a complete pasta addict...but give or take a cheat meal every now and then ( within reason) I dont think its going too badly...0

I lost 30 pounds in 10 weeks following Ideal Protein. Low carb low dairy. When I started eating balanced again I gained about 6 back but I'm slowly going down again0

I try for 20 Net carbs a day and eat high fat. So far I've lost 25 lbs since 12/26/12. I pretty much started losing right away. I really haven't found it hard to stick to this style of eating since I search out alternatives to my favorites. So far I haven't felt deprived.0

Started properly September 2012, I only weigh myself every couple of months so weight stats may be outdated but lost six inches plus off waist between September and December so now 30/30.5 inches rather than 37. Lost two and a half inches off thighs and one and a half inches off arms and lost 14 pounds, but that may be more cause not done weigh in since 14th December.
Never believed in the low fat mantra anyway so no problem with me scoffing all the high fat. I do love carbs but I have one full on treat day on Fridays. My health has also improved as I discovered wheat causes lots of throat problems which mimics viruses so I am glad that is gone too.0 -
I lost 8lbs by cutting out carbs & I didn't even change my calorie total! By cutting out carbs, I mean I just avoided bread, cereal, pasta, potatos, etc. Veggies & fruit I did not restrict, and I didn't actually count grams. I'm very "carb-sensitive." My waist expands, I collect belly fat, I become tired/slothlike after eating it & it becomes addictive for me. When I have bread/cereal, I crave more and crave Nutella, jam, chocolate, ice cream, sugar in general. When I stop eating carbs, my waist shrinks & I feel more energetic.
Date......waist....weight

11/12......31".......142 (-2)
11/19......30".......140 (-2)

I've not long started so don't have any milestone progress yet, but I can tell you I feel SO much better since cutting out white bread and pasta from my diet. I can see now I so often relied on them for 'stodge' to give me 'energy' but now I stick to just fruit and veg in work for lunch I stay focused all day.
I just make sure I eat GOOD carbs, e.g wholemeal tortillas, wholemeal pitas and porridge.
Good luck! Let us know how it goes for you!0 -
i started low carb due to one of them milkshake diets couldnt stomach the shakes so i decided just to try low carb . i started out at 282lb and i dropped really quickly lost 50lbs in this picture i had gained and went back down but i lost 50lbs in about 5-6 months ..
after this i decided to try low calorie

pic after 75lb
so last week i decided to go back and try a lower carb diet not totally low carb i dont count the carbs in fruit and veg and ive now lost 80.5lb0 -
I cut out white bread and all pasta/rice. I occasionally have wholemeal bread but not often. I also cut out potatoes and starchy veg like corn. After a while you just dont miss it. I will still have the odd peice of garlic bread or a biscuit if the mood takes me.0
